Fully Booked Batman...er..Harley Quinn Day 09.30.2017

I am such a dork. Ever since I started working here in the big city (I'm from a little city about 331km Northeast of my island country - see, I told you I'm a dork), I think I have gone to  the Fully Booked ('s?) yearly Comic Book Day and Batman Day to get free comic books. I'm not really much of a comic book girl, I'm not sure if Manga's and graphic novels count. Do they? Haha. Anyway, long story short, some one got me hooked, And seriously, it's free. I love free stuff.
You might be wondering about this Fully Booked I'm talking about. Fully Booked is one of the biggest bookstores in the Philippines, they started in 2003 and has now 22 branches across the country (I'm not sure if that is even updated). Every year they have a Free Comic book day and a Batman day where they also give away free Batman (or Batman themed) comic books. I read them for like all of 3 min and then they go to my comic book collection box.

It says 1 per customer but
I got 2 because I was with the Boo.
He gave me his copy.

Today was the annual Batman Day or Harlequin Day (yeah she took over, but she's sexy awesome so I guess it's ok) and I had work until 11am so I couldn't go to the biggest branch of Fully Booked (they gave out more free comic books), but I did have Fully Booked branch right behind my office so I still got some freebies. After getting my free comic books we had nothing else to do but bask in the awesomeness of the bookstore and browse.

This view deserves a moment of silence.

I was taking pictures of books I wanted to add to my TBR list and calculating how much I need to make to be able to afford more than 1 book every pay day. But really, my eyes were as big as saucers with all the lovely books asking me to bring them home. I was in book heaven for the 2 hours we were there. I just had to bid them books goodbye because my tummy was calling. Book is life but food is life too. Hihi.

One thing I realized while we were at the bookstore was that the book I got for my August Pagehabit YA book box was not available there (and they are usually one of the bookstores who get new updates upon release). I love how I get to read the book before it even gets released in my country. I could just chill and read other books in my TBR pile and wait for the Pagehabit giveaway book box I won (my luck has indeed changed).

This is a bookstagramers haven, and yes I got to take a bookstgram pic of a book for a review I already made last week but was never able to get my own bookstagram worthy pic for.

Tadaaa!

My phone feels so at home along the new books waiting to be bought. I got an ebook copy of The Path Keper by N.J. Simmonds in exchange for an honest review of her debut novel. You can check out the review here. The picture is already up on Instagram (@cliste_bella) and Litsy (also @cliste_bella). I just saw the book that was behind my phone - The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I haven't read that book yet. Maybe I'll add it to my TBR.

So that was just my trip to Fully Booked to get my free comic books for Batman Day, oh, I mean Harley Quin Day. We had a late lunch after that but I'm still thinking if I want to post a review on that.

Like I said, I'm a dork - a badass one. Ciao!
