I didn't realize it has already been a year (on the 27th) when I sat myself down and decided that I would take my blog seriously and just write. Where did the time go? Thank you so much to everyone who has dropped by, interacted, supported my passion for the last 12 months. I am looking forward to the next 12 months and more.
- My voice, no matter how small, is important. It's a big blogging world out there and having a small voice can be daunting. But it still matters.
- Writing is more than just putting out reviews because I need to. It's a way to de-clutter my brain and relieve stress.
- I have my own niche. I don't need to write just one aspect of my life.
- It's OK to take a break from blogging. I do have a life outside of being a blogger and there always has to be a balance.
- Learn from experienced bloggers, making friends who love reading and writing, and creating opportunities to expand and grow.
- There are so many approachable authors and publishers you can stalk..I mean talk to. Haha
- My family who keeps up and support (or tolerate..hihi) my book and blogging craziness. Especially on days when I'm all over the place doing staging books or when I hog the internet bandwidth.
- My fellow book bloggers. The Book Blogging community is awesome!
- Stats! I don't usually bother with counts but I am grateful for the way my blog has grown and it does show through the numbers:
~ 83 Blogger Followers
~ 60 Google+ Followers
~ 63 98 Blog Views
~ 506 Instagram Followers
~ 336 Twitter Followers
~ 331 Litsy Followers
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for all the love.
- The awesome authors and publishers who have sent this International blogger ARCs and Review copies. There will always be difficulties of being an International book blogger but there will always be angels who will send us those precious books to read and review.
- Discovering new books that I would never have encountered. It's always nice to get recommendations from fellow bookworms in the community.
- Related to the 2 points above - Book Mail!
- My laptop. This baby has been with me for so long and has helped me with my blogging even if half the keys on the keyboard don't work and the screen is busted (I use a different computer monitor attached to the body of the laptop now).
I was supposed to write a year end wrap-up post at the end of 2017 but the Holidays were a busy time for me so I'm putting my 1st year highlights here:
- Created my blog in March 2017. I've had countless other blogs in the past 10 years and this is the 1st time I've kept at it. Lot's of motivation to keep writing.
- Won a Book Subscription box in August 2017. You can read the post here.
- Created a local Book Club in my country with fellow bookworms in November 2017. Our very first book meet was such a success. You can read about it here.
- Went crazy with Netgalley where I get some pretty good eARCs.
- Finished my 1st ever Goodreads Reading Challenge!
- Became a member of an awesome community of book bloggers in January (I think) where I get so many helpful information.
- Got to go to the Preview day of one of the biggest book sales in Asis - Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in February.
- And of course, I will be celebrating my blogs month long birthday this March.
- I recently just started doing Blog Tours. The first 2 I was part of was a Book Spotlight and Blitz. I want to be able to join more blog tours that will eventually get me to be able to review books as well.
- Get a new laptop. I know my old laptop is hanging in there but eventually I know I'll need to let it rest. If you want to help me out in my goal you can share a coffee with me through Ko-fi.com/clistebella. There's also a link to the right side of my blog underneath my picture.
- Catch up with my 3 page to-do list. Hihi *No Rush
- Collaborate with a Fellow Blogger. This I want to do sooner than later.
- Maintain and make more connections!
