Going Places | Road Trip! Part 1 - Anilao, Batangas

"At the beach, life is different.
Time doesn't move hour to hour,
but mood to moment.
We live by the currents, plan by the times
and follow the sun." ~ Anon.

Ever since I started working, I have probably gone on vacation a total of 3-4 times in 5 years. Being burned out is taking it mildly. I have trouble sleeping and waking up, I'm tired despite of getting 8 hours of sleep and vitamins - I was depressed. My regular 2 days off work wasn't cutting it, I needed a longer break.

It came as a blessing that my partner's sister had a road trip planned for the family to break in their new car. And off to Anilao Batangas we went.

Just breathing in that sea air was like a balm to the soul. I felt all the stress melt away just staring at that view.

I missed the provincial life with all the trees and fresh air we no longer have in the Metro.

The view to die for. The beach at Anilao is not recommended for swimming but it is popular with divers and snorkelers.

Bonfire Night! Perfect for roasting marshmallows.

And of course, I am not going to forget about the fresh seafood. Yummy fish and squid caught fresh.

I loved not thinking about work or bills or any other adulting stuff and just relax and soak up some Vitamin Sea. It was a little downcast when we arrived but the view was still spectacular. I feel a lot better thanks to this trip and sleeping about 16 hours straight. Definitely a must repeat. Review for the place we stayed at will be in my next post.
